چکیده
Introduction Working dogs routinely operate in environmental conditions which may necessitate daily bathing to remove contaminants or soilage. The impacts of frequent repeated on the canine dermal microbiota are unknown. objective this study was characterize changes microbial populations following bathing. Methods Labrador retrievers ( n = 16) were bathed using a dilute dish detergent solution (1.6% solution) over course 14 days. Dermal DNA collected via sterile swabs 142) taken at days 0, 7, 14, 16, 21, 28, 35, 42, and 49 analyzed for alpha diversity, beta diversity relative abundance assess 16 s sequencing. Results indicate that significantly increased Shannon Chao1, several rare amplicon sequence variants. Although typically reported highest abundance, decreased phyla Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria p < 0.05). Conclusion Repeated with reduced normal healthy taxa created significant canines. Disruption cause negative health require further investigation.

Investigation of the faecal microbiota associated with canine chronic diarrhoea.
Diarrhoea is a common problem in dogs and can result in disturbance of the normal intestinal microbiota. However, little is known about the gastrointestinal microbiota of dogs with chronic diarrhoea and controlled canine studies of dietary management are scarce. The aims of this study were to investigate the predominant faecal microbiota of chronic diarrhoea dogs and to examine the effect(s) of...

There are a large number of workers in the United States, spanning a variety of occupational industries and sectors, who are potentially exposed to chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin. Occupational skin exposures can result in numerous diseases that can adversely affect an individual's health and capacity to perform at work. In general, there are three types of chemical-skin interac...
متن کاملWhen the Nose Doesn’t Know: Canine Olfactory Function Associated With Health, Management, and Potential Links to Microbiota
The impact of health, management, and microbiota on olfactory function in canines has not been examined in review. The most important characteristic of the detection canine is its sense of smell. Olfactory receptors are primarily located on the ethmoturbinates of the nasal cavity. The vomeronasal organ is an additional site of odor detection that detects chemical signals that stimulate behavior...
